Deletion of exon 28, encoding the "y" alternative splice exon as follows: A lox-P flanked neomycin cassette replaced exon 28, and was excised in ES cells prior to blastocyst injection via Cre-mediated recombination. The final allele has a single lox-P site in place of the exon. (J:55407)
