In-frame insertion of a lacZ gene and a neomycin cassette. This allele expresses a chimeric protein consisting of 128 N-terminal amino acids fused to the entire beta-galactosidase protein. This fusion does not contain the zinc finger domain and therefore does not have DNA binding activity. (J:16077)
