The mutation underlying the mutant phenotype is a tandem duplication of an exon encoding amino acids 763-818. The transcript expressed from this allele contains an in-frame insertion that is predicted to result in a protein that contains an additional 55 amino acids in the cytoplasmic region. (J:40243)
