Tyrc-m基因的编码区域正常，但5'-上游调节序列，包括Ty基因的启动子控制区，发生了重组。在纯合子浅色色素沉着细胞的克隆中，酪氨酸酶的低水平转录和对DNA酶I的敏感性降低，而在深色色素沉着细胞的克隆中，酪氨酸酶的转录水平虽仍低于野生型，但DNA酶敏感性增强。上游重组可能将酪氨酸结构基因与顺式作用元件分离开来。(来源：J:997, J:105054)
