BAG蛋白质与Hip竞争结合Hsc70/Hsp70 ATP酶结构域,促进底物释放。所有BAG蛋白质在C端附近都有一个大约45个氨基酸的BAG结构域,但它们的N端区域差异很大。这个基因编码的蛋白质在N端区域含有WW结构域,在C端区域含有BAG结构域。BAG1、BAG2和BAG3的BAG结构域在体外和哺乳动物细胞中特异性地与Hsc70 ATP酶结构域相互作用。所有这三种蛋白质都以高亲和力与Hsc70的ATP酶结构域结合,并以Hip可抑制的方式抑制其分子伴侣活性。[由RefSeq,2008年7月提供]
