Located in several cellular components, including Schmidt-Lanterman incisure; lateral loop; and myelin sheath adaxonal region. Is expressed in several structures, including cerebral cortex; early conceptus; eye; and future spinal cord neural plate. Used to study Leber congenital amaurosis.
