肌动蛋白磷酸酶靶亚单位1,也被称为肌动蛋白磷酸酶的肌动蛋白结合亚单位,是肌动蛋白磷酸酶的亚单位之一。肌动蛋白磷酸酶调节肌动蛋白和肌动蛋白在鸟苷酸三磷酸酶Rho下游的相互作用。小鸟苷酸三磷酸酶Rho与肌动蛋白轻链(MLC)的磷酸化有关,这导致平滑肌的收缩和非肌肉细胞中肌动蛋白和肌动蛋白的相互作用。鸟苷酸三磷酸(GTP)结合的活性形式的RhoA(GTP.RhoA)与肌动蛋白磷酸酶的肌动蛋白结合亚单位(MBS)特异性相互作用,从而调节MLC的磷酸化程度。Rho相关激酶(Rho-kinase),被GTP.RhoA激活,磷酸化MBS并随之使肌动蛋白磷酸酶失活。在NIH 3T3细胞中过表达RhoA或激活的RhoA增加MBS和MLC的磷酸化。因此,Rho通过Rho-kinase的作用似乎抑制肌动蛋白磷酸酶。已发现这个基因的几种编码不同异型体的转录变异体。[RefSeq,2009年1月提供]
