Predicted to enable lipid binding activity and metal ion binding activity. Involved in synaptic vesicle priming. Acts upstream of or within cellular response to starvation; hematopoietic stem cell homeostasis; and positive regulation of exocytosis. Located in several cellular components, including glutamatergic synapse; parallel fiber to Purkinje cell synapse; and synaptic membrane. Is expressed in several structures, including brain; genitourinary system; sensory organ; skeleton; and spinal cord. Used to study autism spectrum disorder.
