Enables several functions, including inositol 1,4,5 trisphosphate binding activity; phosphatidylinositol phospholipase C activity; and phospholipid binding activity. Involved in several processes, including positive regulation of cytosolic calcium ion concentration involved in phospholipase C-activating G protein-coupled signaling pathway; positive regulation of inositol trisphosphate biosynthetic process; and positive regulation of norepinephrine secretion. Located in several cellular components, including cytosol; membrane raft; and mitochondrial membrane. Used to study congestive heart failure and hypertension. Biomarker of hypertension.
