Interstitial Cystitis

Interstitial Cystitis, also known as painful bladder syndrome, is related to urinary tract infection and cystitis, and has symptoms including unspecified symptom associated with female genital organs, mittelschmerz and pain and other symptoms associated with female genital organs. An important gene associated with Interstitial Cystitis is P3H4 (Prolyl 3-Hydroxylase Family Member 4 (Inactive)), and among its related pathways/superpathways are CREB Pathway and Overview of interferons-mediated signaling pathway. The drugs Ibuprofen and Polidocanol have been mentioned in the context of this disorder.
