Ataxia-Deafness-Intellectual Disability Syndrome, also known as Ataxia- Hearing Loss-Intellectual Disability Syndrome, is an inherited disorder that affects the nervous system. It is characterized by problems with coordination (ataxia), hearing loss (deafness), and intellectual disability. Affected individuals may also have eye and skeletal muscle problems. The exact cause of this disorder is not known, but it is believed to be related to mutations in certain genes. The related phenotypes are intellectual disability and nystagmus.
