Enables collagen binding activity and heparin binding activity. Involved in negative regulation of cell population proliferation; negative regulation of connective tissue replacement involved in inflammatory response wound healing; and positive regulation of cardiocyte differentiation. Acts upstream of or within extracellular matrix organization and positive regulation of cell-substrate adhesion. Located in interstitial matrix. Is expressed in several structures, including connective tissue; gut; male reproductive gland or organ; olfactory epithelium; and quadriceps femoris muscle.
