Located in several cellular components, including membrane raft; mitochondrion; and sperm principal piece. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; integumental system; nervous system; respiratory system; and sensory organ. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 4G; anemia (multiple); hematologic cancer (multiple); obesity; and retinitis pigmentosa.
