A loxP-flanked puromycin selection cassette replaced exons 1-5 of the gene. These exons correspond to the cytoplasmic tail, transmembrane, stalk and part of the CRD region of the encoded protein. The selection cassette was susequently removed via transient cre expression. (J:312602)
