A conditional by inversion (COIN) module consisting of a lox66, exon 5, and lox71 was inserted in the antisense orientation replacing exon 5. In addition, a rox flanked self-deleting drug selection cassette consisting of Prm1 promoter, Drei cDNA, SV40pA, UBC promoter, pEM7, neomycin cDNA and Pgk1 pAk was inserted after the COIN module. The drug selection cassette was self-excised. This is a null allele as exon 5 is in the antisense orientation. (J:343559)
