Glycine codon 356 (GGC) in exon 3 was changed to aspartic acid (GAC) (p.G356D) and glutamic acid codon 358 (GAA) to glutamine (CAA) (p.E358Q) using an sgRNA and an ssODN template with CRISPR/Cas9 technology. The mutations change the endogenous amino acids in the encoded peptide to their equivalents from paralog Gdf11. (J:342779)
