A bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) clone from C57BL/6 BAC library RP24-256C12 is used to obtain mouse genomic DNA containing the entire mouse Gad1 gene. This BAC was modified to insert cDNA for the eGFP-L10a (TRAP) in frame into the end of exon 2 of Gad1, partially replacing it. (J:305241)
