Exons 2 and 3 were floxed by insertion of a loxP site upstream of exon 2 and the addition of a FRT-neo-loxP-FRT-loxP cassette downstream of exon 3. The neo cassette was subsequently removed from correctly targeted ES cells by transient expression of FLPe recombinase. (J:148339)
