Exon 1 was flanked by loxP sites. An FRT-flanked neomycin cassette was inserted immediately at the 5 end of the second loxP site and a thymidine kinase cassette at the 3-end of exon 2. The neomycin selection cassette was removed via flp-mediated recombination. (J:297941)
