A CAG promoter and a loxP site flanked puromycin resistance gene and ECFP reporter gene double cassette were inserted upstream of exon 1 replacing the native promoter and the 5UTR. This conditional-ready allele expresses the selection and reporter genes but not the targeted gene. (J:243417)
