The allele is created using site-specific PhiC31 integrase-mediated transgenesis to insert a loxP-flanked stop cassette, Kozak sequences and the near-infrared emitting firefly luciferase derivative Akaluc directed by a chicken beta-actin promoter with a CMV enhancer (CAG promoter). Akaluc is a modified firefly luciferase (luc) containing 28 amino acid substitutions relative to luc. (J:341257)
