CRISPR/Cas9 technology replaced exon 3 with an ivNeo selection cassette. The ivNeo selection cassette was removed via flp-mediated recombination in the ES cells. Deletion of exon 3 results in the absence of the long muscle-specific archvillin splice-form. (J:339941)
