A pGK-gb2 loxP/FRT-flanked Neomycin cassette was inserted 161 nt upstream from the coding exon 2, and an additional loxP site was inserted 80 nt downstream from the coding exon. Mice were crossed with EIIa-Cre mice to remove the loxP flanked coding sequence in the germline. (J:339254)
