A FRT-flanked neomycin selection cassette and a loxP site were inserted 265 bp upstream of exon 2 and a second loxP site was inserted 169 bp downstream of exon 2. The neomycin selection cassette was removed via flp-mediated recombination. Exon 2 was deleted via cre-mediated recombination. (J:338919)
