Using recombination-mediated genetic engineering, a loxP-EM7-Neo-loxP ligated to Mafb 5' segment and an FRT-Neo-FRT-loxP ligated to Mafb 3' segments were introduced into mouse embryonic stem cells. Successfully recombined clones were injected into blastocysts to make loxP-flanked Mafb-Neo mice and crossed to the FLP-expressing line to remove the Pgk-Neo cassette. (J:338559)
