A T2A-Cre followed by a frt-flanked neo-selection cassette was inserted at the end of the exon 6 into the 3' UTR of the Dmp1 gene by homologous recombination in the ES cells. Western blot analyses indicated Cre recombinase was expressed specifically in bone and tooth with weak expression also in the brain, muscle, and testes. (J:338540)
