The targeting vector is designed to insert loxP sites at the 5' and 3' end of exon 5. The vector also included an FRT-flanked neomycin resistance (neo) cassette. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neo cassette. Exon 5 was deleted via cre-mediated recombination. (J:241560)
