The targeting construct inserted into intron 2 an inverted splice acceptor-membrane bound GFP cassette flanked by two pairs of loxP and lox2272 sites in opposite orientation. A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 2. Dre-mediated recombination removed the Rox flanked neomycin resistance cassette. (J:319356)
