A gene cassette composed of internal ribosome entry site (IRES), CreERT2 and a neomycin resistance (Neo) gene flanked between a pair of Frt sites was inserted into the 3'UTR region in the sixth exon of the Plvap gene, through the gene targeting method in ES cells. Neo sequence was subsequently removed from the recombinant allele by mating with a Flipper mouse line. (J:328290)
