Using CRISPR/Cas9 technolgy, the CrexER (Cre-rox-ER-rox) was generated by the insertion of two rox sequences flanking ERT2, a cDNA encoding CrexER recombinase replaced the translational stop codon of the Mki67 gene, following endogenous Mki67 by the self-cleaving peptide 2A sequence.
