The transgenic construct contains the entire human STMN2 gene from bacterial artificial chromosome clone, RP11-761J24, including STS sequences corresponding to the 5 and 3 regions of STMN2. Founder line 9439 carries 2-3 copies of the transgene. The transgene integrated on Chr.7 [109,434,498-109,451,680; build mm10] the insertion results in a 17 kb deletion of genome between the two identified breakpoints. The deleted sequences include Stk33 intron 1, the entire 1700095J03Rik locus and Trim66 exon 21. (J:101977)
