A 1.3-kb DNA fragment bearing the (300-bp) Gata3 promoter plus 1 kb of the first intron was linked to the 1.5kb genomic sequence of the otic vesicle enhancer (OVE) corresponding to +571 in the Gata3 locus in BAC clone 260A19 drives cre expression to the inner ear specifically. Two lines 2471 and 2476 were established. (J:267996)
