The genomic locus, spanning protein-coding sequences scattered in two neighboring exons and an intercalated intron, was replaced by the mCherry coding sequence and an FRT-flanked neomycin selection cassette. The neomycin selection cassette was removed via flp-mediated recombination. Homozygous mice show absence of transcript. (J:251608)
