The allele was generated by inserting CreER into the translation start codon of the Spp1 gene using lambda phage-mediated recombineering followed by homologous recombination in ES cells. Chimera mice were crossed to mice expressing FLP recombinase to remove the PGK-NEO cassette. (J:245845)
