The KOMP L1L2_Pgk_P cassette L3L4_pD223_DTA_spec backbone from project CSD50165 was used to generate this allele. The cassette is composed of an FRT site followed by a lacZ sequence and a loxP site. This first loxP site is followed by a neomycin resistance gene under the control of the PGK promoter, sV40 polyA, a second FRT site and a second loxP site. A third loxP site is inserted downstream of the targeted exon 4. The critical exon 4 is thus flanked by loxP sites. Flp-mediated recombination removed the lacZ and neomycin resistance gene, leaving exon 4 floxed. (J:287261)
