CRISPR/Cas9 technology generated a 54,449 bp deletion encompassing exons 1-8. qRT-PCR indicates hardly any transcript expression of the mH2A1.2 isoform and normal transcript levels of the mH2A1.1 isoform. Western blot analysis shows absence of expression in cortices at E13.5. (J:333071)
