A loxP site and FRT-flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette was inserted upstream of exon 2 and a second loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 3. The neomycin gene was removed via flp-mediated recombination. Exons 2-3 were deleted via cre-mediated recombination in the germline. (J:287473)
