An FRT site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette and a loxP site were inserted upstream of the Hnf1aos1 gene promoter/1st exon and a second loxP site downstream of the Hnf1aos2 gene promoter/1st exon. These exons, promoters and loxP sites are located in Hnf1a intron 1. The neo cassette was removed through subsequent flp-mediated recombination, leaving a conditional-ready allele with Hnf1aos1 and Hnf1aos2 promoters floxed. (J:332319)
