A construct containing an FRT site, splice acceptor, IRES, beta-gal gene, loxP site, PGK-neo cassette, FRT site, and loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 2 and a third loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 2 via homologous recombination. Flp mediated recombination removed the bet-gal and neo cassettes leaving exon 2 floxed. (J:319656)
