A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 1 and an FRT-flanked PGK-neomycin selection cassette and second loxP site were inserted downstream of exon 1. The neomycin selection cassette was removed via flp-mediated recombination leaving exon 1 floxed. (J:315675)
