An FRT-flanked PGK-neomcyin selection cassette and loxP site were inserted upstream of exon 4. A second loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 5. The neomycin selection gene was removed via flp-mediated recombination. Exons 4 and 5 were deleted via cre-mediated recombination in the germline. (J:301391)
