A loxP site and FRT flanked neo cassette were inserted 286 bp 5' of exon 4 and a second loxP site was inserted 736 bp 3' of exon 5 via homologous recombination. Flp mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. Assays of enzymatic activity and mRNA levels confirmed wild-type levels of both. (J:324731)
