A targeting vector was designed that deleted exons 53-64 (15,326bp deletion: chr2:52,250,795-52,266,120) encoding 3 super repeats. The Osdd vector (providing TK for negative selection) was used and homology arms (4kb left and 3.5kb right) allowed the replacement of the deleted sequence with a FRT-flanked neoR positive-selection cassette. Flp-mediated recombination remove the neoR cassette. (J:331852)
