The targeting construct inserted a loxP site upstream of the coding region in exon 1 and an FRT-flanked neomycin cassette with a 3 loxP site downstream of the coding region in exon 3. Flp-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette and left the coding region floxed. (J:331142)
