IRES sequence, followed by microtubule-associated protein tau sequence coding for the N-terminal bovine MAPT sequence in-frame with the EGFP fluorescent reporter gene coding region, was inserted in the 3' UTR of the Or55b4 gene in BAC RP23-61O11. The BAC was shortened at the 3' end to only include 16 kb sequence upstream of the Or55b4 transcription start site. The BAC also contains Or55b3, Or55b10, the 3' end of Stim1, and Rrm1. (J:254398)
