A loxP site was inserted 173 bp upstream of exon 3 and an FRT-flanked neomycin resistance gene and second loxP site were inserted 150 bp downstream of exon 3. The neomycin resistance gene was removed via flp-mediated recombination leaving exon 3 floxed. (J:330105)
