The Sox2ot downstream promoter was targeted with an sgRNA using CRISPR/Cas9 technology, resulting in a deletion of the promoter (Rr297) and exons 1 and 2. Transcripts containing exons 3-5 were still expressed in E10.5 embryos, possibly from the upstream promoter. (J:310878)
