The targeting construct introduced a loxP site upstream of exon 1 and an FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette with a 3 prime loxP site downstream of exon 2. Flp-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette and left exons 2 and 3 floxed. (J:326871)
