TALEN-targeting of exon 52 produced a partial deletion of the 5' end of exon 52 and a 2.3 kb inversion including intron 51 and the last 93 bp of exon 52 in both copies of the transgene. Loss of exon 52 results in the loss of DMD protein expression. (J:299478)
