A loxP site was inserted upstream of the first exon and an FRT-flanked neomycin cassette with a 3 loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 1. Flp-mediated recombination removed the neomycin cassette. The first exon and its promoter were deleted via cre-mediated recombination. (J:327404)
